According to him, his marriage to Stellamaris Okoafor is his fifth and the worst, and if anything happens, would be his last.

The comic actor as learnt by Ashiri shared the current state of his marriage with The Punch, saying the marriage feels like punishment and wondered if he is still in it.

 

Veteran Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu has opened up about the crisis rocking his marriage and issues surrounding his adopted daughter, jasmine.

According to him, his marriage to Stellamaris Okoafor is his fifth and the worst, and if anything happens, would be his last.

The comic actor as learnt by Ashiri shared the current state of his marriage with The Punch, saying the marriage feels like punishment and wondered if he is still in it.

Mr Ibu disclosed that it seems to him his wife has already made up her mind to leave the marriage and he won’t stop her if eventually, she decides.

He revealed that “This is my final marriage. If this one falls apart, I won’t marry again

 This is my fifth and worst marriage because my wife adopted what is not obtainable. This feels like punishment; not marriage. I doubt if I am still in the marriage, because it seems she has already prepared her mind to leave, and I’m not going to stop her.

“I support her leaving. Each time I see her, I begin to breathe erratically, and it is not good for me, because I am not ready to die. There are opportunities God exposed me to that are of interest to me.”

Ashiri reported barely a week ago that Stellamaris Okoafor cried out for help over issues with a lady identified as Jasmine, claiming to be her husband’s daughter.

Recall that last year Mr Ibu clarified that Jasmine is not her biological daughter, however, the latter, has continued to parade herself on social media and insist the comic actor is her father.

 

It was gathered that the thespian’s wife, reached out to an Instagram blog as she opens up on the struggle in her marriage and Jasmine’s ploy to sell her husband’s property worth over N65 million.

According to Stella, she has been suffering in her marriage as her husband abandoned her and their children since last year to stay with Jasmine, who is using him for financial gain.

She claimed the lady parading herself as Jasmine Okoafor is Chioma Florence Okekeagukwu, hails from Imo State and is in no way related to her husband who is from Enugu State.

However the actor in his reaction said since the last social media outcry, things have been going on well even though he knew his wife was pretending.

Mr Ibu said “Since the recent incident, she has been so loving. But, I know it is all a pretence just to get my attention. I still show her love, providing money for domestic needs and making sure the family is fine. But, I am very skeptical. I cannot eat her food anymore. For now, I only eat from Jasmine’s kitchen. She cooks a lot, and I like eating.”

 Reports reaching us that the former governor of Anambra State rounded up his state presidential campaign in Lagos, on Saturday with a rally held at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island, after campaigning across the 36 states of the federation.

The vice presidential candidate, Datti Baba-Amed was also present at the finale, as well as the leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-political organization Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, and other chieftains of the party.

 

A 15-year-old boy, identified as, Yusuf Alami, captured in an iconic photo with the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has revealed why he stood in front of the latter’s convoy during his campaign rally in Lagos State.

In the picture that went viral on social media, Yusuf Alami is seen stretching his arms out wide in front of a Toyota Prado SUV, with Peter Obi standing through the open roof of the car, smiling at the teenager.

According to PUNCH, the 15-year-old boy during an interview disclosed that he stood in front of the convoy because of his love for the LP flagbearer.

The man was being cheered by some of the LP supporters at the campaign venue as he makes some incantation.

Graduating student thanks God, private parts, poly begins probe

 

The Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, Imo State, has launched an investigation into a claim made by a student of the institution that she graduated with the help of God and her private parts.

The student had after defending her National Diploma project made a live broadcast on her social media handle (TikTok) thanking God and her private parts for making her a graduate.

The viral video has since generated public outrage with many calling for disciplinary action to be meted out against her by the institution.

Reacting, the school management on Monday announced that it had launched an investigation into the lady’s claim.

 A statement issued by the registrar of the institution, Mrs. E. C. Anuna, described the lady’s claim as blasphemous and against the moral standard of the institution. 

 

The statement read, “This is to inform the general public that the Management of Federal Polytechnic Nekede has begun full investigations into the identity of the student who gloated on TikTok about how she graduated with the help of God and her private organ. It is even most blasphemous and antithetical that the said student peddled the name of the Almighty in her deleterious act.

“The management considers the action of the student most unacceptable and preposterous. The Federal Polytechnic Nekede prides itself as an institution with high academic and moral standards. Both staff and students are quite aware of the consequences of any misconduct. In an unprecedented move, the management through the various disciplinary committees had released hot lines through which students could report any act of exploitation or corruption. These committees are diligent in ensuring that any staff member or student found culpable is meted out with appropriate punishment.

 The despicable post of this supposed student does not therefore represent the standard of our institution. The Rector of the institution, being a clergyman, has been very committed and consistent in instilling discipline in our students through seminars, Solemn Assemblies, sensitisation outreaches and publications.

“When our investigations are over, we shall make our findings and pronouncements public. It is in our purview to ensure that only students found worthy in learning and character are certified. This is a commitment to which we shall remain consistently resolute.”
